DBAA: Fish Stocking Update Database

Our next stop on the Alaska page of the State Agency Databases Across the Fifty States Project is:

Fish Stocking Update Database – From the website, “This page is provided so you can search our stocking database to find which locations have been stocked, with what species of fish, and when specific locations were stocked.” Searchable by area, species and date.

Search results include date of stocking, location, species, number of fish released at the location, average weight  and ploidy. According to the website, “The number of single sets of chromosomes within a cell or organism. Diploid fish are capable of reproduction. Triploid fish are sterile.”

Next week we’ll check out a database where you can learn the name of Todd Palin’s fishing boat and find information about his fishing permits.
