DBAA: Office of Administrative Hearings Decisions

Today’s Alaska agency database from the Alaska page of State Agency Databases Across the Fifty States is:

Office of Administrative Hearings database – Under AS 44.64.090(a), the Office of Administrative Hearings must make “”final agency decisions reached after administrative hearings available online through an electronic data base.” This is a database of decisions made on how government agencies interact with the public. Database can be searched by key word or browsed by category, which appear to be based on agency. Decisions are in PDF format.

In my view, this is a database in the loosest sense. Yes, you can search for decisions posted electronically, as the statute says. The search uses a Google Search Appliance and aside from the limitation to OAH materials, is identical to a state web search. But it works and you can browse by category.

Examples of cases heard and decided by the Office of Administrative Hearings include:

IN THE MATTER Of Advance Alaska LLC dba Advance Til Payday and Loren C. Gill – Case No. OAH 08-0689-BFI

Next week we’ll cover the State Employees Directory.
