Atmautluak lies on the west bank of the Pitmiktakik River in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, 20 miles northwest of Bethel. The community lies at approximately 60.866940° North Latitude and -162.273060° West Longitude. (Sec. 19, T009N, R074W, Seward Meridian.) Atmautluak is located in the Bethel Recording District. The area averages 16 inches of precipitation, with snowfall of 50 inches. Summer temperatures range from 62 to 42 °F. Winter temperatures range from 19 to -2 °F.
