“Dog Ate My Homework” No Good in Kenai

According to a flyer sent to parents from the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District on January 23, 2009, the District has established Google Apps accounts for Kenai students 4th grade and up along with KPBSD staff. Google Apps includes e-mail, calendar, word processing and presentation software.
While not stated in so many words, it looks like one of the benefits to having student access to Google Apps will be an end to the “The dog ate my homework” excuse:

Never forget an assignment at home. The Google Docs are 100% compatible between school and home, accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection. Documents, Spreadsheets, Calendars, Presentations are all available at any time, from anywhere.

I *think* that would have been a good thing for me in school
