Yesterday in Alaska a MAJOR news story broke out. Because of my employer, I will not be writing anything publicly on this issue aside from saying that it is very big news here.
When I got home yesterday, it was a huge temptation to flip on the computer and start reading every scrap of commentary I could on this news story. But I decided that wouldn’t be a good use of my time.
Instead, I watched a few episodes of Stargate SG-1: Fail Safe and Proving Ground. Then I noticed the weather was pretty nice and I took a book and camera out to the front porch. I read about the remarkable economic rise of China and India and took some pictures of some stunning cloud formations I hope to post on Flickr this weekend if they did the sky any justice at all.
It was very relaxing and I learned new things. All without the Internet. It was nice and I’m going to try and do that more often.
