A friend and FGI colleague decided to do an open tabs post the other day. Instead of trying to blog articles individually, he just dropped some article titles.
Since I’ve been meaning to share a number of articles gleaned from my Blogline’s subscriptions, James’ approach makes sense to me. So the next few entries will be “open tabs/link dump” sort of deals, grouped around a theme.
This time, Homeland Security/Domestic Spying, etc:
Ubiquitous Surveillance – According to this post from Security Expert Bruce Schneier, businesses and government can track from morning to night.
Secrecy News for 11/15/06 – This issue of the Secrecy News newsletter tells how we can be held accountable for secret government directives. In today’s world, we can be restricted by laws we’re not allowed to read. Sick!
“Undisclosed U.S. Detention Sites Overseas: Background and Legal Issues,” September 12, 2006: http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/intel/RL33643.pdf – What have we come to that not only our own government ran (and probably still runs) secret prisons, but that there is little popular outrage? If Iran ran a secret prisons program, it would be tacked onto the “Why we’re going to attack Iran” list the President is likely building.
