Blue Heron, my second picture uploaded to Flickr

Now that I can easily blog any Flickr picture that I want, I thought I’d go back and show you the very first picture I ever uploaded to Flickr. Alas, that picture, while good documentation of a barn swallow nest in my condo’s stairwell, was not photogenic.
So here is the first nice picture I uploaded to Flickr, taken in June 2005 from my back balcony. That is a great blue heron standing by the tide pool. During high tide, about two-thirds of the pole to the right of the heron is submerged.
